System Engineer position fills a key role in our Control Devices
Engineering Group, supporting the establishment of future strategic
direction, execution of current development programs, and
continuous improvement for launched programs. The role allows the
ideal candidate to develop expertise in the mobility thermal
management, driveline efficiency, occupant position sensing, and
signal transmission markets.Stoneridge System Engineers thrive in a

Stoneridge product.The Senior System Engineer at Stoneridge will
participate in:Analysis of current and future system level
requirements for assigned productsDevelopment of roadmap for
Stoneridge advanced product developmentDocumentation of system
level requirements for development and production
programsSimulation and validation of Stoneridge products at a
system level using representative plant modelsProduct development
on vehicles and vehicle systems including Stoneridge
productsValidation of system requirements on developed
productsAnalysis and rectification of post-production part quality
concernsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary system engineer for
Stoneridge products in thermal management and torque
transmission.Understand and document regulatory
requirements.Translate regulatory requirements into system
requirements for Stoneridge products.Understand customer trends and
document system requirements.Participate in customer discussions
relative to expected performance of current and future
applications.Translate customer requirements and trends into system
level requirements for Stoneridge products.Trace customer
requirements to Stoneridge system requirements.Develop validation
plans to meet product system level requirements.Support execution
of validation plans to meet system level requirements.Document
system validation report based on system validation results.Use
requirements management system (DOORS, Polarion) to trace from
customer requirements to Stoneridge system requirements to
validation plans to validation results to production control plans,
to ensure that every requirement is met on every part
produced.Execute system engineering functional safety activities
for ISO26262 compliant products.Triage warranty and customer return
parts as needed to find systemic root cause of failure.Maintain a
product diagnosis procedure to address any possible failure modes
for quick triage of issues.Maintain product application guidelines
for all assigned products.QUALIFICATIONS:BS in an engineering
discipline is required, BSEE or BSME preferredAt least 15 years of
experience in extracurricular, academic, or professional setting
with system engineering principlesExperienced with either battery
electric vehicle thermal management or torque transmission system
designs and functionalityKnowledge of appropriate laboratory tools
for performing product analysis and testing.Must be self-motivated,
a fast learner, and a strong problem solver.Innovative spirit and
collaborative team member.Strong verbal and written communication
skills.Available for travel as required to meet program
objectives.Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up culture.Comfortable
with expectations of excellence in level of productivity and
